The Rabbit Hole Pub

Few things in life are better than having a cool bar near you. There’s something cool about knowing a place that you can swing by at a moments notice and have a good time. The Rabbit Hole Pub is that place for me. It’s less than five minutes from where I live right now, and has been the place that I catch Dallas Stars games, grab lunch, or just have a couple of drinks on a chill weeknight. They’re Alice In Wonderland themed, which sets them apart from any normal bar. Paintings and murals of characters from the story are all over the walls. Multiple TV’s are around the bar as well. It’s definitely a sports bar, and gets especially packed during football season. A great thing about this bar is that they have those large doors/windows that open up, joining the inside and patio together. With the nice weather coming in, that’s going to be a blessing. Cold beers, chilly weather, and football. C’mon now y’all it doesn’t get better.

The bar itself isn’t too large or small. A “normal” size for a bar like this. Plenty of seating inside and at the bar. There’s also a decent sized patio that wraps around the building. A pool table, darts, and golf game are inside too if you want to play a game. They have some fun events through the week as well, such as music bingo on Wednesdays (very fun, I’ve been once or twice) and karaoke on Thursdays. Rabbit Hole is also located near a lot of neighborhoods and apartments, so you get a ton of regulars that make the place feel a little more cozy.

As far as bar food, they don’t have any. What they do have is better, a dedicated food truck outside called Chefs Tacos. They serve primarily Mexican food, although they do serve wings (which are delicious by the way). I’ve tried the tacos, nachos, wings, and burrito. All were delicious. I think the burrito is my favorite, specifically the Asada burrito. It’s a very good size too, I was struggling to finish the whole thing on an empty stomach.

I’m a big fan of cool bars like this, and as I said in my Low Doubt review, you have to have a special something to be a cool bar. They all serve the same things, so you have to stand out in your own way. The Rabbit Hole Pub definitely has that special something, and has me coming back time and time again. Maybe I’ll see you there sometime.
